Pete, Just wanted to say thanks for the great trip last week. I had a great time and learned a lot. My boys didn't want to fish much, there was too much other stuff for them to do, but when they did, we caught fish. I fished myself several times and always did pretty good. I caught one Kentucky that weighed about 4 lbs. I thought he would pull me in the water before I could land him. Kevin and myself caught roughly 55 bass on Friday (5/4) and another 60+ bass on Saturday. We caught almost all of the fish in the areas you had pointed out on Thursday and we used strictly the "green worm." Although we did not catch any real large fish, we did manage to catch a couple of 4 pounders, along with the many others. We sure have been bragging you up with the local fisherman in the Bloomington area, that may lead to some business coming your way. Hi! Pete! Well, all good things must come to an end and we have returned to good ol' Denver. thanks for the great day of fishing even though it was tough. The next day I didn't do a whole lot better but then on Wednesday morning early, I started throwing a Buzz Bait and it was like someone turned on the switch. I caught 4 quality fish that morning, the biggest as 6.2 lbs. on the smallest of the large ones was 4 lbs. The next week and a half I would I would catch at least one quality fish early in the morning and then again at night. I don't think for the trip I caught as many fish as I usually do, but most were keepers and i didn't catch very many small fish. I caught one 4 lb. smallmouth down by the dam, where the duck boats come in and a few smaller ones, but again not as many. Thanks Again! I'll look forward to fishing with you again next year. Your knowledge of Bass Fishing and the remarkable precision in bait presentation was incredible. Just watching you fish was a real treat in its self. Like I had said earlier " if I catch fish that's just a bonus. I just wanted to watch and learn from some one of your caliber on how you approached different scenarios that was presented to us that day. The questions that you answered and the way you explained them to me helped me to better understand the puzzles of Bass Fishing and in turn the light bulb started to light in my head and things were starting to click. I can't wait until I get back out on the water to try the tips and tricks you showed me that day with Drop Shotting, and the use of my graph using that technique. We had a great time yesterday. You made my dads 65th birthday the best ever. He has hardly stopped talking about it to everyone he has talked to since yesterday. You are a very professional guide but also very fun and very informative. We had to go to Canada to ever catch this many fish before. Wanted to let you know that Dad and I enjoyed listening to your expertise on bass fishing at Table Rock Lake. We learned a lot about bass fishing and had a great time fishing with you. Also, wanted to let know how we did in the tournament. I can't remember if I told you, but we have been going to the Police & Fire Fishing Tournament for the last 3 years, this year being our third. We've done very little bass fishing in the past, in fact my Dad hasn't been bass fishing ever!! The previous two years we never weighed a bass during the tournament. Well... this year was a little different. On Friday, we weighed in bass for a total weight of a little over 3 pounds. On Saturday, we weighed in five bass for a total of over 13 pounds. Our total weight was 16.6 pounds and we placed fifth in the tournament. Along with the keepers, we had to release four bass that we 14 inces, and several a little smaller. We caught around 15-20 bass for the two days. Again... thanks for the great time, enjoyed the fishing. Thanks, Brent
